HUD Performance – Return & Refund Policy (Diesel Performance Industry Version)

HUD Performance specializes in diesel performance and aftermarket automotive components. Due to the technical nature of these products, all customers are responsible for ensuring compatibility and understanding the following return terms prior to purchase.


1. Return Window

Returns may be requested within 30 days of confirmed delivery.

To qualify for return approval, items must:

  • Be new, unused, and uninstalled

  • Remain in original, undamaged manufacturer packaging

  • Include all parts, hardware, documentation, and accessories

  • Show no signs of installation, mounting, fuel exposure, wiring, or modification

Any item showing installation attempts or use will be refused and returned to the customer at their expense.


2. Non-Returnable & Final Sale Items

Because many diesel performance products cannot be resold once opened or programmed, the following items are final sale:

  • Tuning devices, programmers, or monitors once opened, powered on, or registered

  • Custom tuning files or digital products

  • Electronics or sensors

  • Injectors, pumps, or fuel system components exposed to fuel

  • Special-order or drop-shipped items

  • Built-to-order or modified products

  • Clearance or discontinued items

  • Gaskets, fluids, or consumables

Manufacturer defects are handled under manufacturer warranty policies.


3. Compatibility Responsibility

Customers are responsible for verifying vehicle compatibility before purchase, including:

  • Year, make, and model

  • Engine configuration

  • Emissions equipment

  • Supporting modifications

HUD Performance is not responsible for return shipping or labor costs related to incorrect orders placed by the customer.


4. Return Authorization (RMA Required)

All returns require prior approval and a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA).

Include:

  • Order number

  • Full name

  • Reason for return

  • Photos (if applicable)

Returns sent without an approved RMA may be refused.


5. Restocking Fees

Approved returns are subject to a 15%–20% restocking fee depending on manufacturer policies.

Original shipping charges and payment processing fees are non-refundable.


6. Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs unless HUD Performance shipped an incorrect item.

Large freight items (exhaust systems, bumpers, oversized components) must be returned via insured and trackable shipping. HUD Performance is not responsible for loss or damage during return transit.


7. Installed or Used Parts

Parts that have been:

  • Installed

  • Test-fit

  • Wired

  • Fueled

  • Tuned

  • Modified

are not eligible for return under any circumstance.

No exceptions will be made due to installation errors, diagnostic misinterpretation, or performance expectations.


8. Damaged, Missing, or Incorrect Orders

Customers must report shipping damage or incorrect items within 48 hours of delivery.

Provide photos of:

  • Outer packaging

  • Shipping label

  • Product condition

  • Damage area

Failure to report within 48 hours may void eligibility for replacement.


9. Refund Processing

Once an approved return is received and inspected:

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method

  • Processing time: 5–7 business days

Shipping charges, expedited handling, and installation costs are non-refundable.


10. Order Cancellation Policy

Orders may only be canceled prior to shipment.

Special-order or drop-ship items cannot be canceled once processing has begun.


11. Warranty Claims

Many products sold by HUD Performance carry manufacturer warranties. Warranty evaluation, approval, and replacement decisions are determined solely by the manufacturer.

HUD Performance does not cover labor, downtime, towing, or incidental damages.


12. Limitation of Liability

Performance parts are intended for off-road or competition use where applicable. HUD Performance is not responsible for vehicle damage, emissions compliance issues, or improper installation.

Professional installation is strongly recommended.
